Prep Time5 minsTotal Time5 mins

 ¾ cup hot water
½ cup unsweetened plain oat milk
1 tsp beetroot powderor beetroot crystals
½ tsp Chai Spice Mixor 1 caffeine-free chai teabag per serving
½ tsp maple syrupor sweetener of choice, optional
  tsp vanilla extractoptional

1

Add the beetroot powder, chai spice mix, sweetener if using, and hot water to a mug and stir to combine. If you want foamy milk, continue to step 2. If not, skip to step 3.

2

Add the milk and vanilla (if using) to a separate mug or small measuring jug. Use a small whisk or handheld milk frother to whisk the milk until it has a decent layer of foam.

3

Pour the milk into the mug, and enjoy!

Notes
4

If using a chai teabag, put it into a mug and allow it to steep for 5 minutes, or as directed on the label. Once you've removed the teabag, stir in the milk, beetroot powder, sweetener, and vanilla.

5

We find that oat milk and almond milk are great for frothing, but you can use the plant-based milk of your choice.

6

Because oat milk naturally has a naturally sweet flavor, you might not need to add as much sweetener as you would when using other varieties of plant-based milk.

7

You could also make this an iced latte. Mix the beetroot powder, chai spice mix, and vanilla in a few tablespoons of hot water, stir in the milk, and pour over ice.

8

If you're using chai spice mix, it's normal for some to settle at the bottom of your mug if you let it sit for a little while.
