 2 cups water
½ cup unsweetened plain oat milk
 1 cup rolled oats
 2 medium carrotsfinely grated
 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
4 tsp date caramel sauceor to taste
Golden Milk Spices
 1 tsp turmeric powder
 ½ tsp ginger powder
 ½ tsp Ceylon cinnamon
 1 pinch cardamom
 1 pinch black pepper

1

Add the water to a saucepan, and bring to a boil on the stovetop (alternatively, use freshly boiled water from a kettle). Add in all of the ingredients EXCEPT the date caramel sauce, and stir to combine.

2

Reduce to low heat, and cook for 10 minutes or until the oats are cooked. Stir frequently to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. If too much liquid is absorbed or the oats aren't cooked to your liking, add in some extra water as needed.

3

Serve the cooked oatmeal between 2 bowls, and stir half of the date caramel into each bowl. Add toppings of choice, and enjoy.

Notes
4

Optional toppings can include a spoonful of seed or nut butter, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, pecans, walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, raisins, berries, or sliced banana.

5

If you don't have date caramel sauce, you could sweeten this oatmeal with maple syrup, chopped dates, or raisins.

6

If you don't want to use oat milk, use a different plant-based milk of choice such as almond, cashew, or hemp.
