This lovely Iced Caramel Matcha Latte is naturally sweetened with date caramel sauce, which gives it a subtle caramel flavor. It's the perfect drink to treat yourself to on a hot summer day!

 1 cup ice
 1 cup unsweetened plain oat milk
 2 tbsp hot water
 1 tsp matcha powder
 ¼ tsp vanilla extractoptional

In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder and hot water together until there are no lumps left.

Optional: If you're using vanilla extract, in a separate container or jug (preferably with a spout) mix the milk and vanilla.

Put the date caramel sauce in the bottom of a glass, and add the ice, then the milk, and top with the matcha. Add your favorite bamboo or stainless steel straw, stir to combine the layers, and enjoy.

You could easily turn this into a caramel matcha frappe! Just add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth. You may need to add a little more liquid to get it to blend properly.

If you don't want to use oat milk, use a different plant-based milk of choice such as almond, cashew, or hemp.
